Anyway, other than the fact that it's vaguely amusing, I'm sharing this so that I can also share the thing that I am proud of achieving today, which was NOT HAVING A PANIC ATTACK WHEN THIS HAPPENED BUT IN FACT FINDING IT QUITE FUNNY.

Probably doesn't seem like that big a deal, but... it is. It really is. :)

Yay America! Knew you could do it. ♥ Thank you for doing the right thing. And I know there's an argument that non-Americans should just keep their noses out, but honestly, what the US does affects the rest of us in very real ways, so we do have a stake in it. So, yeah. Thanks.

Pretty disappointed with Californians and others for letting the side down on the gay marriage issue, though. (Am I alone in thinking that if someone else's marriage is "threatening" to you, then you must have a pretty easy life? I'd love the opportunity to feel threatened by the relationships of people I've never met. I don't and wouldn't feel threatened by gay marriage because that's fucking ridiculous, but it would be nice if that was all I had to worry about, you know?)

Still, I get to read the words "President-elect Barack Obama" now, which is a very good feeling.

In other news, today I had my first session of CBT (that is, cognitive behavioural therapy, not cock-and-ball-torture; that would be very wrong). It was only an hour, and I only get six sessions, but apparently that can be enough - it's based around changing the way you interpret events, and training you to challenge your own negative thinking. Anyway, I'm feeling quite positive about it and looking forward to - I hope - learning to be happy.

Now I'm sitting at my desk, watching other people's firework displays (for non-Brits: tonight is Guy Fawkes night, when we celebrate the great British tradition of arson). Good times.

As a general rule, I have a lot of respect for you as a country. When you get it right, you get it so right: examples of this include The Sopranos, pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, Massachusetts (in general), iced tea, Kurt Vonnegut, bluegrass, etc. When you get it wrong... well, then you get the last eight years. (And aerosol cheese.)

What I'm saying is, please, please don't fuck this one up.

i) I updated my Deviantart with individual Watchmen Babies portraits - including Baby Comedian and Baby Manhattan, who are new! - and some photos. I'll probably put up some more photos when I can be arsed. They will be utterly textbook tourist shots of, like, the sea and stuff. I am the most hatefully amateur artist ever, it's great fun.

I have a cold and the thing where everything aches and your eyes feel all itchy and wrong.

Oh well. While I lie in bed and drink synthetic lemon flavour drink with decongestant, ( have another inexplicable Draco shoop. )

Right, really am going to bed now.

I have spent the afternoon playing with epoxy resin. It is fun. You mix together the resin and the hardener and then add glitter or pigment or "found objects", which I guess means bits of paper and leaves and stuff, and pour it all into moulds. Along the way you inhale the fumes, which you are not supposed to do, and then you get all woozy and dizzy. Also you get the resin all over your hands, and some in your right ear, although how it got there you're not sure.

Then you tidy up. I haven't done that bit yet.

Also today I finished colouring a picture I made. I drew it on paper, but coloured it in Photoshop. I can't decide if it is complete shit or acceptable. (Probably rubbish: I seem to be one of those people with a mild to moderate level of skill in a lot of areas. I'd rather be really good at something, you know?) It was a good day for being a bit creative, though. I haven't had a day like that in ages, so it's a very good feeling.

At first I thought this was pretty much the most awesome thing ever - but then I listened to the interview with him (you can hear it on the linked page or read it here) and he keeps saying "I think it's a wind-up, if I'm honest" and he sounds so sad and jaded and I want to give him a hug and tell him that Rickrolling or no Rickrolling, I still think "Never Gonna Give You Up" is a totally fun song. :P

ETA: Of course, if you wanted to do your bit for world lulz and vote for Rick, you would be able to do that here...

2. In other news, I got an account at Deviantart. Its main purpose is so I can view other people's adult-rated stuff, because I am a pervert, but as it's there I thought I might as well whack up some pictures of crap I made. Some is already there, and there'll be more as I get around to it. I dunno how it works over there with friending or whatever, so, friend away if that how it works, or ignore at your leisure.

3. I have an exam next week, so if I'm not around much, it's because I'm revising (which, as always, means staring at the course book for about thirty seconds, then having a panic attack and needing to go and lie down in a quiet, dark room).
